A one-of-one fixed blade from Timber Knives of Heber. No name on the spec sheet, nothing behind it but the knife itself.
An acid-washed blade, a lanyard ring, and an amber Ultem handle that hides a scorpion.
A closer look
The ObjectThe Blade
Acid-washed from ricasso to tip.
A full flat spine runs into a swept belly, ground in a mottled, stonewashed gray that shifts with the light. The tang stays exposed the entire length -- nothing hidden, nothing painted over.
The Handle
A real scorpion, suspended in the resin.
Not a print, not an etching -- an actual scorpion specimen, cast into the amber Ultem scale over the exposed tang. It's there permanently, under glass in everything but name.
In the hand
Built for control, not size.
A forward choil ahead of the edge seats the index finger right at the blade, and a full lanyard ring at the pommel locks the grip in from the other end -- a small blade with a deliberate, considered hold.
Carried
Hand-stitched, brass hardware.
A black leather sheath with brass rivets and snap, a belt loop stitched to carry it every day.
No name. One object.
A custom with nothing to prove and no maker's mark to lean on.
